After the Great Storm, a lonely survivor wandered the broken landscape. His origins unknown, it is not certain why he was unaffected by the electroplague. He looks about 22 years old and has demonstrated talent in martial arts, specifically kendo. In his first appearance, "Thirsty," he defends himself against a group of stormsick while retrieving some bottled water from the ruins of a convenience store.
After his escape, he encounters Rio. After forming a tenuous partnership with the old man, the two decide to travel the wasteland together. Their continued exploits are detailed in the graphic novel, The Secret of El Sol.
