A controversial piece of legislation that approved the construction of the National Fuel Reserve. After the United States' decades-long involvement in the Oil Wars, the FEI held the promise of a safe and speedy withdrawal. The FEI's long term goals of complete energy independence made it essentially a proclamation of succession from the global community. Using the Quantum Enrichment Process developed by Dr. William Isaac, the United States' formulated a viable plan to cut all dependence on foreign energy sources. As this new, xenophobic mindset trickled down to all levels of international commerce trade with other nations was dramatically reduced. After the passing of the Fuel Enrichment Initiative, the United States quickly became self-sufficient and assumed a strict isolationist foreign policy.
